Rhino - Ashland Mixed Media Artist

Rhino

Rhino is a west coast painter based in Ashland, Oregon and is the owner of SPACECAMP Studio on Oak Street. Combining pop art with a myriad of techniques, Rhino is always exploring movement and nostalgia. It is easy to get lost in the layers of his bright colorful palettes and wild forms.

Rhino got his start painting huge abandoned mines in the Utah wilderness.  Completely self taught he takes inspiration from graffiti, cartoons, pop art and skateboard culture.

Beyond American borders, Rhino has showcased his creations in Australia and recently authored the whimsical volume, "1,000 Hotdogs Doing Stuff." In his downtown Ashland studio, Rhino continues to breathe life into new art pieces, infusing the local scene with his boundless creativity.

His collaboration with The Columbia Hotel resulted in four striking murals adorning its walls, enriching the hotel's ambiance with his signature style. As one of the pioneering artists involved in shaping the hotel's brand, Rhino's vision has helped transform it into a haven for art enthusiasts, epitomizing the spirit of creativity and innovation.
